The Opportunity
We are seeking a senior-level Full-Cycle Executive Recruiter to lead retained searches from origination to successful close. This role offers the scope of a senior associate/engagement manager in a global firm, but with the entrepreneurial autonomy to shape client strategy, control execution, and directly impact the firm’s growth trajectory.
With a niche focus and premium client base, you will advise founders, CEOs, and investors on one of the most strategically leveraged leadership hires they can make. This position carries a defined annual revenue target and is designed for someone comfortable owning both business development and delivery, with uncapped earning potential for overachievement.
This will be a W2 position, reporting directly to the Managing Partner. This is a remote-first position with minimal travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Originate searches, leveraging your network and market presence to build new client relationships.
- Develop compelling proposals and present search strategies that align to client objectives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to CEOs, founders, and investors in defining role scope, success metrics, and organizational impact.
Mandate Execution
- Lead top-tier retained searches originated by the founder.
- Own the full engagement lifecycle: market mapping, candidate outreach, assessment, shortlisting, client presentation, offer negotiation, and onboarding oversight.
- Produce high-caliber candidate materials, delivering insight and narrative beyond the résumé.
- Maintain momentum and transparency with clients through structured updates and advisory touchpoints.
Firm Contribution & Collaboration
- Work alongside the Managing Partner and Founder on go-to-market strategy and client experience refinement.
- Collaborate with a sourcing resource on candidate identification while managing all client-facing elements and administrative touchpoints for your mandates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in retained executive search, ideally with a top-tier global firm or high-end boutique.
- Experience managing full-cycle, client-facing searches at the senior leadership level.
- Demonstrated success in business development with C-suite executives and investors.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, lean environment without large support teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the gravitas to advise top executives.
Compensation & On-Target Earnings (OTE)
- Annual Base Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
- Commission:
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $280,000–$350,000/year
- Long-Term Upside: With strong business development performance and client expansion, top performers can exceed $350,000+ annually
- No cap on commission earnings — overachievement significantly increases annual income
