Chief of Staff Consultant Role
Vannin Chief of Staff is seeking up to two (2) Chief of Staff consultants to join our talent roster. These individuals will be trained using our proprietary Vannin Chief of Staff Framework™ to support CEOs as their interim Chief of Staff. In that capacity, they will interface with our clients’ executive teams, support strategic initiatives and drive accountability for goals across the companies that they support. The ideal candidates are a proven leaders with a blend of strategic, financial, project management, and leadership skills. Additionally, they should possess attention to detail, initiative, and financial modeling skills. They are curious, adaptable, and comfortable managing change and ambiguity. They enjoy solving complex problems, are highly collaborative, and operate with a strong bias toward action and results. They exercise exceptional discretion with confidential information.
This will be an W2 position located in the Denver/Front Range metro area. New hire(s) must commit to being onsite in Cherry Creek 1x/week.
Our consultants work on a retainer model with each client, with flexibility to choose between part-time and full-time work. Annualized, our Chief of Staff consultants can make up to $200,000.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific scope of work for each client, but generally align to the following core functions. As an interim Chief of Staff, the ideal candidates will possess the ability to parachute in and out of client engagements with ease, learning and delivering results quickly.
Client Company Strategy:
Assist clients in day-to-day operational management of the business and in ensuring the client’s business priorities are being effectively executed
Own prioritization and execution of key strategic initiatives by partnering with the client’s executive team and internal functions
Enhance the effectiveness of key meetings by setting effective agendas and driving high-quality content and output, including preparation and meeting follow-ups
Client Operations:
Support the development and drive the scorecard success metrics and KPIs. Monitor key metrics and flag areas of concern
Own and continuously improve company operating cadence (e.g. executive team meetings, leadership offsites, quarterly OKRs reviews, quarterly board meetings)
Seek areas for improvement and innovation to make the overall business run more smoothly and drive growth
Client Communications:
Assist the client with communications between and from the leadership to the wider team
Lead the preparation and development of all client executive presentations, including but not limited to reviews, all hands meetings, internal and external speaking engagements, off-sites, and events
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of management consulting and/or investment banking experience
Proven experience at a fast, high growth startup in a Chief of Staff, COO or business operations leadership capacity
5+ years of project and change management expertise
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, showcasing strong ownership, organizational, and time-management capabilities under pressure.
Skilled in professional and diplomatic written and verbal communication, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders with high executive presence.
Available to work onsite 1x/week in Denver, CO, near Cherry Creek
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience working in private equity backed companies
Experience running value creation plans, integration plans, transformation programs
Experience utilizing goal-setting frameworks or collaborative management methodologies such as OKRs, Traction EOS, Scaling Up, etc.
Demonstrate analytical and logic skills with a focus problem solving frameworks
Excellent GSuite/Microsoft office skills
